Telluride Late Summer 2013

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spring 2013: What have I been up to??? I have really been enjoying the time that I have spent with Luke and KeOna. Since we moved to Colorado, I have really taken this opportunity to make some big changes. I started doing things that I had been putting on the back burner for the last few years!

I changed our diet, I actually implemented all the things that I learned from the PPNF course I took in San Diego. We eat mostly organically grown fruit and veggies and grass-fed meat. I did my research and I recommend reading:

Nutrition and Physical Degeneration

Nourishing Traditions

Beautiful Babies: Nutrition for Fertility, Pregnancy, Breast-feeding, and Baby's First Foods

In these books you will understand why I am not a vegetarian, why I take and give the kids cod liver oil and why we choose to eat local, organic and grass-fed.  You may be thinking that costs too much... well the last dental visit for the kids totally paid off.  Luke’s crooked bottom teeth are straightening out.  Not one cavity, not even a recommendation for either child. Shoot, they didn’t even clean their teeth!

For the last month Luke has been asking me to take him to the dentist.  He must think it is a place to have fun and play games and everyone is so nice.

Let me tell ya, last year Keona had a different idea of the dentist and it involved shots, drills, tears and holding your mouth open for extended periods of time.   And before you ask: I don’t floss their teeth!

I also have been working on my sourdough baking techniques and I have been sewing and learning how to use a serger.  But to me those are winter activities and its summer now.  So its time to go on bike rides, go camping, go to the pool and do all the stuff that I couldn't do with a foot of snow outside.  Speaking of which, I gotta go...
